Monday started like any other morning for the Lahey family. Anne and her three-year-old son, Carter, were getting ready to leave for work and day care. It was 7 a.m. The hot chocolate and coffee were ready, and as the family mini-van warmed up in their Pinery Crescent driveway, Carter was helped into his snowsuit. After she buckled her young son into his car seat, Anne walked back to the front stoop to pick up some bags to load into the car.
