When Chrysler debuted the new Sebring last year; it was only a matter * of time until Dodge did the same, ergo the 2008 Avenger. Avenger comes with a choice of three engines. The entry-level 2.4-litre four-cylinder is DaimlerChrysler's "world engine" and was designed to be powerful and fuel thrifty at the same time. With 173 hp and 166 lb/ft of torque, consumption is listed at 9.7L/100 km (29 mpg) city and 6.6L/100 km (43 mpg) highway.
