Police say a group of young men were playing video games at a Sprucewood Trail home in Oakville on Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. when two masked men entered the house. Police say one suspect had what appeared to be a hand gun. The men threatened the group and demanded money. Police say one suspect hit a 16-year-old victim in the back of the head, causing him to fall on the floor, and then kicked and punched him. The suspects then started kicking and punching the rest of the young men. After bounding all five of the suspect's arms and legs, police say the thieves took off with money and other property. The men were eventually able to free themselves and called police. One of the victims had a minor head injury and required medical attention. One suspect is described as male, white, 16-19 years of age, between 5-foot4 to 5-foot-6. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black, waist-length jacket with a fur collar and zipper front, tan boots, a black toque and dark jeans. The second suspect is described as male, black, 16-19 years of age, between 6foot to 6-foot-2, with a large build. He was wearing a dark bandanna across his face, a dark jacket, light jeans and white running shoes. The Halton Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate this incident. Father and son charged with car part thefts A local father and son were arrested after police say they were caught fleeing the scene after stealing car parts Wednesday night. Halton Regional Police officers were called to Lockwood Motors on Wyecroft Road Feb. 14 at 9:50 p.m. after security saw a man going through cars in the lot. Police say a green van was seen leaving the lot and a man on foot seen running from the lot toward Kerr St. The van then stopped, picked up the running man and started racing away from the area. An officer responding to the call followed the van until it stopped. He then arrested the pair, who turned out to be father and son. Officers say they found new car parts and accessories in their possession. Charged is a 46-year-old man and his 17-year-old son, both of Oakville. They face charges of theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property and possession of burglar tools. The pair will appear in Oakville Criminal Court on March 21.
