www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday February 21, 2007 - 45 Auto EVERYTHING Kia cee'd Wagon set for Geneva debut The all-new Kia cee'd wagon, making its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, will be seen in production-ready form for the first time. The 4.5-metre long wagon has an unusually long wheelbase and will offer class-leading passenger and luggage space, plus highly competitive levels of equipment and state-of-theart active and passive safety. To boost load carrying ability and versatility, the wagon's overall length is increased by 235 mm over the five doors, with all of that increase behind the rear wheels. The overall height is up by 10 mm. Luggage capacity starts at 534 litres, loaded up to the bottom of the rear windows, and is almost 200 litres more than the cee'd five-door. The tailgate on the cee'd wagon is unique in the C-segment being designed to give excellent access to the load area. The top hinges have been moved forwards by 225 mm (compared to the cee'd hatchback), so the tailgate has reduced outswing and upswing. This allows users to stand closer to the car and the tailgate to be fully opened, even in restricted parking spaces. The new cee'd wagon will be built alongside the five-door and threedoor versions at Zilina, Slovakia, the most advanced and cleanest motor manufacturing facility in Europe. New Acura concept Continued from Page 44 bumper with the high-mounted stop lamp integrated into the center break of the trunk. The jeweled taillights are pushed to the outer edge of the bumper to further enhance the vehicle's wide and low appearance, while integrated dual exhaust outlets complement the sedan's performance-oriented style. During the past decade, several Acura vehicles have been designed and developed in North America, including the MDX luxury sport-utility vehicle, the TL performance luxury sedan and the all-new RDX turbocharged crossover-utility vehicle. Acura is the technology advanced performance division of Honda Canada Inc. Six vehicles (CSX, TSX, RDX, TL, RL and MDX) are marketed under the Acura brand, including the exclusive-to-Canada CSX luxury compact sedan. Both the Acura CSX and MDX are produced at the Honda of Canada Mfg. facility in Alliston, Ontario
