Venom earns gold in Hamilton An 18-14 win over Hamilton's Blessed Sacrament gave the Oakville Venom novice girls' basketball team the championship at the recent Hamilton Transway AAA tournament. Oakville, which lost 20-16 to Blessed Sacrament to begin the tournament, also posted wins over the Hamilton Celtics, Hamilton Transway and Brantford CYO during the competition. Members of the team are Tiffany McNeil, Olivia Wilson, Lindsay Devereaux, Liana Hughes, Hayley Suchanek, Marina Painco, Stephanie Findlay, Anastasia Levreault, Jordan Tracey, Mara Briscoe, Maggie Curran and Vanessa Garcia.
