www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Friday March 16, 2007 - 35 MOHA announces coaches for next season The Minor Oaks Hockey Association recently announced its coaching designations for next year's rep teams, with 20 of 32 positions filled by coaches of local clubs this past season. Both the peewee and minor peewee categories have four coaches who have moved up from the atom and minor peewee levels. In peewee, John Guzzo will take over the AAA team, Don McLaughlin will coach the AA club, Dave Rogers will oversee the A squad and Chris Stamper will inherit the AE (additional entry) team. Minor peewee coaches will include Mike Holly (AAA), Dave Crozier (AA), Glen Lacoste (A) and John Da Silva (AE). Tyke players will be coached by John Rees (tyke 1) and Kyle Johnson (tyke 2). In novice, coaches will be Mark Moro (AAA), Mark Taciulk (AA) and Dwayne Clarke (A). Minor atom teams will be coached by Mike Dellela (AAA), Rob Stanbury (AA), Jody Zedor (A) and Dominic Amodeo (AE). Atom coaches are Paul Harvey (AAA), Nick Serniuk (AA), Brian Stamegna (A) and Dominic Reale (AE). The minor bantam clubs will be directed by Gord Chapple (AAA), Ray Dube (AA), Kevin Anstey (A) and Jeff McBain (AE). Mario MacDonald will coach the bantam AAA club, with Dave Brennan taking the AA squad and Shawn MacIntosh handling the A team. The AE coach will be announced at a later date. Minor midget coaches will be Joey DiBattista (AAA), Mark Scott (AA) and Rich Holder (A), while a possibility remains that MOHA will ice an AE team in minor midget next year. MOHA's 10th annual pre-tryout Mitron school is scheduled for the first two weeks of April, with a technical program for 7-10-year-olds and a tactical program for those aged 11-14. Skura Wings claim gold The Skura Corporation novice Wings followed up a silver-medal showing at a Port Perry hockey tournament with a gold-medal win in Huntsville recently. Oakville posted 10-0, 3-1 and 12-0 victories to claim the title. Members of the team are Josh Widman, Jack McMann, Patrick McGuire, Trevor Downey, Kyle Kolwich, Nick Skura, Kyle Morrell, Sam Brubacher, Travis Harrigan, Kyle Hatherell, James Zuliani, Cameron Bushen, Clarke Marner, Adam Wolf, Nathan Von Wistinghausen and Adrian Mendez. Mike Wolf, Terry Hatherell and John Harrigan coach the team, and Karen Marner is the manager.
