This Saturday and Sunday is Barrington's annual Spring Leather Event. Clients have the option of choosing from an enhanced in-stock inventory of ready-made leather pieces in a plethora of styles, umpteen colours and textures, or a custom, made-tomeasure lightweight spring leather coat that is ready to wear in about two weeks. To boot, the sale includes a 10 per cent discount on leather orders and in stock leather coats. A beautiful silk scarf accompanies every leather purchase during the weekend event. Refreshments and door prizes round out this fashionable celebration of spring. Barrington's garments are the best the world has to offer with Canadian made tailoring and European skins. "Temperate weather of late has made wearing a spring coat a necessity," said Paul Barrington. This season the sixth generation retailer also ushers in a lovely array of trench and popular three-quarter length style coats in versatile neutral tones of tan, black, white and pale pink, all of which are easily accessorized with a colourful scarf. When Barrington's originally opened for business in Oakville 56 years ago, it was a furrier shop. Cloths, leathers, shearlings and raincoats were added to the retailer's repertoire 18 years ago. Furs remain a large part of our business, said Paul. Services include onsite storage, cleaning, remodeling, repair, sales and free pick up and delivery. At this time of year, it's important for furs to be put into a cold storage that is kept at a constant 10-Celsius temperature with 50 per cent humidity. A home basement can't get anywhere near this optimal condition. Storing a fur amid a proper climate from April to November helps prevent the hide from drying out therefore lengthening the life of this cherished investment, added Paul It's time to bid winter adieu and embrace spring by heading to Barrington's for the Spring Leather Event this weekend.
