www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday May 23, 2007 - 27 Artists combine talents for Golden Spirals Two Oakville artists bring their creative energy together to create one vision in Golden Spirals, featuring the work of Aniko Kiss and Jackie Osmond Patrick in Toronto's CONTACT Photography Festival, The Constructed Image. Golden Spirals takes the photographic medium to the next level using conventional and digital photography, optical non-camera along with mixed media techniques. To Kiss and Osmond Patrick, spirals represent history: history of personal growth, history of life, humanity, and the universe. Osmond Patrick was born in Surrey, England and immigrated to Canada in 1967. She is a mixed media artist using various mediums to express herself in relation to the world around her, working both two and three-dimensionally in photography, acrylic, oil, watercolour, charcoal, glass, plaster, clay and soapstone. She has an Honours Degree from the University of Toronto and Sheridan Institute of Design and Technology in Art and Art History. Over the past three years, Osmond Patrick has been working as a full time artist travelling extensively in North America and abroad. Two years ago, she started a creativity coaching business called Authentic Soul to help individuals on their creative journey. Kiss is a native of Hungary whose vision of visual freedom steered her toward pursuing her dream of art and being an artist. Golden Spirals, which is part of CONTACT, is taking place at Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd., 905 King Street West, Toronto, from Wednesday May 2 to Wednesday, July 25. The show is presented by ArtWorks Oakville and is generously supported and sponsored by Royal LePage Real Estate Services Ltd. downtown branch. Exhibition hours are Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. For more details, visit www.contactphoto.com.
