ONTARIO GOVERNMENT NOTICE Notice of Application of Larvicide for Mosquito Control on Ministry of Transportation Property The Ontario Ministry of Transportation will conduct a larviciding program, from June to October 2007, to reduce the mosquito population and health risks from West Nile Virus. The program will be carried out in the regions of Peel, Niagara, Halton, York, the City of Hamilton and Simcoe County. The larvicide methoprene (Altosid Briquettes, Registration #27694 under the Pest Control Products Act, Canada) will be applied to catchbasins. All larvicide will be applied by provincially licensed exterminators and trained technicians.
