For people attending the Royal Botanical Gardens, the issue of plants being harvested to the point where they can no longer be found in the wild is of great concern. At the Royal Botanical Gardens volunteers are encouraged to participate in the restoration of wetlands. The Royal Botanical Gardens has also distributed seeds to students who then grow the plants in their classrooms and later plant them in wetlands.
