Headlining acts include David Usher with illScarlett today (Friday) and Jacksoul with Suzie McNeil on Saturday. Both shows kick off at 7:30 p.m. on the Waterfront Stage. Following the Saturday concert is the 150th Anniversary Fireworks show. Sunday on the Waterfront Stage will feature Majinx ­ the Canadian champions of magic. For kids, a theme park will run from 10 a.m. ­ 5 p.m. on Sunday. Other activities for kids include the Mattamy Children's Village, featuring sand castle building, armour to try on, sporting activities and more. It runs Friday from 5 ­ 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. ­ 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. ­ 5 p.m. A Puppet Parade and Backyard Circus with Weird on Wheels featuring the Nerf Ultimate Challenge and the Gushers Cup are some of the other offerings for kids. New this year is the Celebrate Oakville Homecoming Weekend to commemorate the town's 150th birthday. Garden Smart, featuring TV gardening personalities discussing environmental gardening, is another new show on tap at the festival. The GardenSmart Speaker Sessions are Friday at 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m., Saturday at 12, 2, 4 and 6 p.m. and Sunday at 12 and 2 p.m. Hosts include Carson Arthur from Room to Grow, Charlie Dobbin of One Garden, Two Looks, author of numerous plant gardening books Lorraine Johnson, local botanist Paul O'Hara and host of Gardener's Journal Kathy Renwald.
