They'll also be at a barbecue at the Crawford's home at 5 p.m. On their Cross Canada Motorcycle Ride, liver donor Robert, his recipient Marilyn and Robert's son Jacob stopped yesterday at Toronto General Hospital where their successful surgery was done. "I don't know what I would have done without Robert's generosity, because I know the typical waiting time for a kidney/liver is more than six years," Marilyn said. "I was extremely lucky and now it's my turn to give back. I want this province and this country to understand that they need to do more than sign their card and put it in their wallet -- they need to have the discussion with their loved ones about their wishes. That discussion can save so many lives." Today in Ontario, 1,743 patients are on the waiting list. Of those, 1,085 are men, 629 are women and 29 of those patients are children. The Cross Canada Motorcycle ride began on July 23 in St. John's, Newfoundland. The trio will be riding motorcycles across Canada over four weeks, covering almost 8,000 kms.
