www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday August 8, 2007 - 11 Driver seriously hurt The Halton Regional Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit is trying to make sense of an accident, which took place early morning on Sunday, Aug. 5 in the area of Hixon Street and Sunset Drive. After receiving a 911 call of a reported motor vehicle collision police responded and found that a Land Rover SUV had left the road and struck several trees. The driver, who was conscious, but non-responsive at the scene of the accident, was transported to hospital by ambulance. After treatment, doctors determined the patient had life threatening injuries including a torn aorta. The driver continues to receive treatment for this and a number of other injuries sustained in the crash, which includes a broken hip. The name of the driver has not been release.
