OAKVILLE DODGE NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION The New Deer will decide when it's time to move By David Lea OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF Concern is mounting over the fate of a pair of white-tailed deer whose patch of Oakville wilderness is in the process of being turned into condominiums. The western half of the former Shell House property, which rests at the corner of Lakeshore Road and Great Lakes Boulevard, was ceded to Palm Place Developments last year after an Ontario Municipal Board hearing. At present, the initial stages of constructing three condominiums with a total of 300-units are underway with the noise of heavy equipment and wood chippers dominating the area. Despite the heavy human presence and the removal of trees, two white-tailed deer continue to return to the area and have been spotted there as recently as Wednesday. 646 4th Line at Speers Rd.
