The squad, comprised of girls age 10 and under, won its first four contests with relative ease before meeting its match in the final. Oakville defeated the Stratford Flames 18-2, Windsor Lady Expos 16-1 and North Mississauga Tigers 17-6 in round-robin play, then downed the Brantford Bobcats 9-6 in the semifinal. The Guelph Gators, however, ended Oakville's goldmedal hopes with a 9-5 win over the Angels in the championship game. Janelle Brown and Taylor Kangas combined to pitch all the games for the Angels, also contributing offensively with nine and six hits, respectively.
