www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday September 5, 2007 - 15 Oakville man urges community to get in on Easter Seals PowerPlay Challenge Oakville's Ron Panetta is challenging the community to participate in the Easter Seals PowerPlay Challenge Saturday. The annual four on four ball hockey tournament is Easter Seals' signature event in Burlington. Proceeds go to 162 local children with physical disabilities. "I think it's a great way to give back to the community," said Panetta. "All the proceeds go to sick children. I have two healthy children, and I think too many people take too many things for granted." Panetta has so far raised $2,000. His seven-member team, the Raters, is made up of "financial guys," he says. Each member must raise $100 to compete. The Easter Seals PowerPlay Challenge is Sept. 8 in the parking lot of Boston Pizza. The event begins at 11 a.m. and includes ball hockey and food provided by Boston Pizza. Money raised helps support the 162 Easter Seals kids, youth and young adults in Halton.
