The competition is invitational and a prestigious venue for Barbershop harmony choruses and quartets to compete and entertain. Hosted by the Singing Buckeyes Chorus of Columbus in August, 10 choruses and quartets of high calibre were invited to compete in a friendly, innovative competition. This unique contest pits male and female four-part harmony performers against each other. Circle of Harmony was excited to have received an invitation to compete in this event, and even more excited when their members' quartet En Route was also invited to compete. Choruses are challenged to perform four songs in an 11 minute entertainment package, while quartets have 12 minutes to perform. At the end of the quartet competition, En Route was awarded first in the women's category. In the chorus competition, Circle of Harmony won Grand Champion chorus, Standard Panel selected by the judges, Most Entertaining chosen by the audience, and Top Female Chorus. These are all the awards the local group was eligible to win.
