It's an opportunity for local residents to experience various cultures and cuisines from around the world. The day-long event features 10 cultural groups with displays at various locations around town. The Carousel of Nations Cultural Fall Festival was initiated in 1999 by the United Way of Oakville to celebrate diverse cultures in Oakville. The festival has allowed cultural groups and visitors to the pavilions to celebrate their heritage by tasting food, learning through arts and educational displays and observing traditional entertainment. Over the years the event has been recognized as one that fosters cultural awareness and understanding of other cultures in Oakville and Halton. The Carousel of Nations Fall Festival will take place at the following locations: · Africa and the Caribbean Oakville Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Rd. · Latin America, Hawaii and Portugal - Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning, 1430 Trafalgar Rd. · Croatia Knights of Columbus Hall, 1494 Wallace Rd.
