The luncheon is complimentary and each veteran may bring their spouse or a guest. Spouses of deceased veterans are also welcome to attend with a guest. The event will feature members of the Queen's Own Rifles greeting and seating all veterans and their guests; a flag ceremony with bagpipes followed by a brief ceremony to honour veterans; representation from Veterans Affairs Canada ­ Canada Remembers Unit; the Kerr Street Big Band playing live '40s music; an Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate display; a Hamilton War Plane Museum display; a Fly Past Single Engine Harvard at 11:15 a.m. (weather permitting); a Hamilton 23 Service Battalion display; a magic performance by award-winning Dr. Magic, Master of Deception; a small gift for everyone and door prizes and music.
