www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Friday October 26, 2007 - 37 Young performers wanted Glenburnie School is gearing up for its fourth annual Performing Arts Challenge. Instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers and a variety of other performers will provide the entertainment at the challenge, to be held on Saturday, Nov. 17. The event is distinct from other talent competitions because it focuses on the complete artist, rather than featuring an exclusively technical focus. The expert judges, all professionals in their fields, score each performance on both technical merit and artistic impression, with winners announced at the end of each division. Says event chair and Glenburnie School's instrumental specialist Paul Carr, "What we hear from our participants, judges and parents each year, is that our dynamic format and unique scoring system really helps young artists' personality and artistry to shine through." Founded in 1985, Glenburnie school features specialty teachers for primary, junior and intermediate music, visual arts and drama. For more, visit www.glenburnieschool.com.
