North Mississauga capitalized on a free kick late in the first half but the Blast came out strong in the second half. Midway through the half, Oakville got its own free kick 35 yards out. Defender Brittany Aldworth played a perfect ball into the 18-yard box and striker Lindsay Annett beat the keeper to the high bouncing ball and headed it into the net to tie the game. Oakville continued to press and with 15 minutes left midfielder Chloe Cross played a ball through to striker Alex Edgar, who got behind the North Mississauga sweeper. In on a breakaway, Edgar faked right but never touched the ball and beat the keeper through her legs for the game-winning goal. The Blast finished the season with a record of 25 wins, two losses and five ties, scoring 94 goals and allowing only 14. The team won a tournament in Rochester, N.Y. and were finalists in Oakville.
