LIESA KORTMANN / OAKVILLE BEAVER A WHOLE PACKAGE: Angela Borgeest, organizer of the Wholistic Women's Fair to take place this Saturday in Oakville, with fair exhibitors Maggie Easton of Arbonne International and Manny Mendoza of Symmetry Direct. Health is a whole lifestyle Continued from page 13 Part of Borgeest's philosophy is the importance of the whole. To that end Borgeest has organized the Wholistic Women's Health Fair, but says of course, men are invited, too. "It's not just about food, it's a way of life," said Borgeest. Women need to ask themselves that if they don't nourish themselves, how will they be able to give to others. "Women are always giving and giving until there's nothing left within us to give anymore," said Borgeest. Today's women face issues not much different than those in years past except that they are more open to talking about issues and looking for answers. "In the past women I think were more willing to accept fate whereas today's women are more prepared to question," said Borgeest. By getting to know themselves, treating themselves properly and becoming comfortable with themselves, women will reach a higher level of health and happiness, according to Borgeest. "Everything should be downstream. If life becomes upstream, we're fighting something we shouldn't," she said. The Oakville woman said she expects the fair, to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Simon's Anglican Church located at 1450 Litchfield Rd. just opposite Sheridan College, to draw a capacity crowd. Admission costs $10 and if more people show up than can be accommodated, admission will occur as other fair atten- dees leave. "Oakville's First Wholistic Women's Fair is every woman's dream of what she needs in order to grow to her full potential. This means there will be wisdom shared either through lectures or vendors that touches her body, mind and spirit," said Borgeest. Products that can't be purchased from outside sources will be on display and available for sale. Whole Foods is catering the event so Borgeest said there will be quality food fare at the fair. Stage performances, demonstrations and lectures will take place throughout the day. The day will kick off with a stage demonstration of Yoga by Lululemon See Finding page 19 Column Provided by Dundee Securities Corporation The opinions expressed in this column are those of the author p p f and do not necessarily represent the views of this newspaper.
