From Monday, Nov. 26-Friday, Jan. 4, the local museum will be hosting holiday tours. They run Tuesday through Sunday, from 1­4:30 p.m. Cost is the price of regular admission. Erchless will be decorated for the holi- days and visitors will learn how Oakville celebrated in the early 1900s. On Sunday, Dec. 9, the museum is hosting a Candlelight Walking Tour at 6:30 p.m. Tickets, at $12 each, must be purchased in advance. History will be brought to life as visitors join R.K. Chisholm, son of Col. William Chisholm and Erchless resident, on a can- dlelit stroll down Oakville's first heritage district. On Saturday, Dec. 15 the museum will host a visit with Father Christmas from 1-4 p.m. Cost is $25. Registration is required. Hearing stories and music, making decorations and gingerbread treats, and a visit with Father Christmas in his old-fashioned house are among the planned events for the afternoon holiday celebration. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PASS AMENDING BY-LAW TO REMOVE A HOLDING PROVISION "H" December 10, 2007, 7 p.m. Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Council Chambers File: Z.1432.04 The Planning and Development Council will consider a report to remove the Holding Symbol "H" for the following application: Palermo West (Colonel William Parkway and Dundas Street) Bronte Creek Communities Limited (Monarch Park Corporation) The effect of the removal of the "H" Holding Provision from Zoning By-law 2002-237, as it relates to a portion of Blocks B and C on schedule C of By-law 2002-237, is to permit the development of the lands for residential development. The "H" Holding Provision was placed on these lands to ensure that adequate municipal water and wastewater capacity was available to accommodate the development, to ensure that a subdivision agreement was in place and to ensure that the 14 Mile Creek Valley and associated setbacks would be conveyed to the Town. The removal of the "H" Holding provision is a mechanism to ensure that the above conditions are fulfilled prior to the development of the lands in accordance with the approved Zoning, and as such there is no right of appeal on a removal of a Holding Provision. The subject lands are located on the south side of Dundas Street and on the east side of William Colonel Parkway.
