OAKVILLE'S PESTICIDE BY-LAW IS NOW IN EFFECT PUBLIC MEETING Class Environmental Assessment Falgarwood Creek Reach 54 - Stabilization and Rehabilitation Project Wednesday, January 9, 2008 6 8 p.m. Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville Room You are invited to attend this meeting to review and comment on the alternative solutions identified for this project. Members of the project team will be on hand to discuss the project and answer your questions. Display materials will also be available for viewing. The Town of Oakville, through their consultant Philips Engineering, has developed a set of alternative solutions for the rehabilitation and stabilization of Falgarwood Creek from the upstream limit of the Morrison-Wedgewood Diversion Channel to Gainsborough Drive. The study is being carried out to develop, evaluate and recommend preferred alternatives for the stabilization and rehabilitation of the creek channel and banks, along with possible flood/flow control improvements along Falgarwood Creek . Information will be collected in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. With the exception of personal information, all comments will become part of the public record. This Notice issued on December 26, 2007 NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING ON A PROPOSED FIREWORKS BY-LAW As a result of concerns raised, Town Council, at its meeting of October 23, 2006, directed staff to provide a report with respect to the use of fireworks within the Town of Oakville. In response to the report, Town Council, at its meeting on December 17, 2007, approved a staff recommendation to begin public consultation on a proposed Fireworks By-law. The proposed by-law will proceed to the Administrative Services Committee on January 29, 2008.
