24 - The Oakville Beaver, Friday January 4, 2008 www.oakvillebeaver.com Parent info night on boundaries New Year's levee Parents wishing to be heard on the subject of the Oakville Catholic High School Boundary Review will get their opportunity on Wednesday, Jan. 9. The School Boundary Review Committee (SBRC) will be presenting its interim report and the potential school attendance boundaries at a Community Open House/Public Information Meeting in the cafeteria of St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Secondary School at 1550 Nottinghill Gate. From 6:30-7:30 p.m. parents will be able to view the interim report, enrolment data, boundary option map displays and talk with committee members. The meeting will formally start at 7:30 p.m. at which time the boundary options and interim report will be presented. After the presentation concludes at 8 p.m. the floor will open up to a one-hour question-and-answer period. The Halton Catholic District School Board has noted that all community input will be reviewed by the SBRC and taken into consideration as they put together their final report containing the recommended school attendance boundaries. This report is scheduled to be submitted to the Board of Trustees at the Feb. 5 regular meeting of the board. It is also expected that at the Feb. 19 board meeting, the board will make the final decision on the recommended attendance boundaries of Holy Trinity, St. Ignatius of Loyola and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic secondary schools. Mayor Rob Burton and Members of Council will open the doors of Town Hall for a New Year's Levee on Sunday, Jan. 6 from 1-5 p.m. "We invite the residents of Oakville to join us as we welcome in the new year," said Burton. "The New Year's Levee is a wonderful event for us to spend time with our constituents and friends outside of the Council chambers and to wish Oakville residents a safe and happy 2008," said the mayor. The New Year's Levee will be held in the South Atrium of Town Hall located at 1225 Trafalgar Rd. Light refreshments will be served.
