www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Friday January 11, 2008 - 23 Achieve Total Balance in your life Total Balance, downtown Oakville offers yoga, pilates, spinning, acupuncture and so much more. By now, our resolve to stick to those wellintended fitness goals that we set on New Year's Day are waning, or perhaps they have even fallen by the wayside already. The key to staying motivated is learning to exercise properly, with sound instruction, said Paul DeAngelis of Total Balance, located at 282 Church Street. Eight years ago Paul and his wife Christine De Bellefeuille opened their fitness studio and wellness clinic in downtown Oakville. "We're as un-gymlike as possible," said Paul. This may explain why the couple's studio is currently being inundated with new students and has remained a success in a very competitive industry over all these years. Specializing in yoga, Pilates and spinning classes, Total Balance instructors focus on ensuring beginner students know how to do each move the right way from the start. Group classes are intentionally kept small, to allow instructors to give each student personal attention while they are exercising. "When work outs are done properly, results are produced and that is likely to motivate people to stick with it," Paul said. To ensure long-term progress, a precision series for beginners who are embarking on Pilates and yoga classes starts this month. In February, Total Balance is launching the ROM, a high-tech piece of equipment that promises the results of a lengthy workout in just four minutes. Christine also teaches Pilates certification classes and has become renown for her mastery. She is also the first fully certified Table Penchant instructor in North America, which allows for different stretches that can't be done on the floor. Over the past eight years, Total Balance has become a popular after school destination among teenagers looking to improve their flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. Total Balance is a multi disciplinary studio. As well as fitness classes, it provides acupuncture, homeopathy, osteopathy, massage and shiatsu treatments in private rooms. The fit of both disciplines mirrors Paul and Christine's. Careers in the health and wellness have dominated the couple's lives. Paul is a doctor of Chinese acupuncture and a professional mountain guide and Christine is certified classical homeopathic practitioner and former professional dancer. 20-70%* Off % January Sale *on selected items European Bra Fittings Available No Appointment Necessary Gift Certificates Available 107 Reynolds Street, Downtown Oakville 905.845.1210 www.insidestory.ca To advertise in Downtown This Week call 905-845-3824 www.oakvillebeaver.com SEEINGAND HEARING.COM A NIGHT IN MEXICO PROJECT I NTRODUCING Saturday, January 26th, 6:30 p.m. MEXICAN NIGHT JAPANESE CUISINE There are lots of exciting events happening at Julia's in 2008!
