Shortly after 11 p.m. a man walked into the 1011 Upper Middle Rd store and confronted the lone employee. The man threatened the store employee, stating he had a knife. The store employee, however, was not threatened by the man's words and stated he had a knife as well. The man asked for a pack of cigarettes which the employee turned over. When a witness walked into the store, the man fled the store in a south direction. The employee and witness were not injured during the robbery. The Halton Regional Police Canine Unit searched the area without success. The suspect is described as white, 5foot-8, 30 years old, clean shaven with dark curly hair and dark eyes. He wore a black leather jacket with blue jeans. The Halton Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate this incident.
