People can get five cases of beer or a trip to the grocery store, there's lots of things people can do with $150 rather than waste it on a fridge they don't use very much," said Love. "It's good for employment. Arca won a competition to handle this program province-wide, they hired 83 people so it's good for local employment. Lastly this is really good for the environment. We're helping to reduce energy consumption, the units are being recycled, the Freon is being captured so this is a really win, win, win situation and what we're hoping is the success of this program will translate to other programs."
