The ECO is making plans to come to Halton Monday, Feb. 11 to take part in a public meeting being organized by the Region. It'll run from 6:30 ­7:30 p.m. at the Halton Regional Centre, 1151 Bronte Rd., Oakville. Miller will discuss the relationship between his annual report -- entitled Reconciling Our Priorities -- and the Province's Places to Grow plan and also share his `green' suggestions for Halton, in light of the Sustainable Halton growth management initiative the Region is currently undertaking. Pud By Steve Nease snease@haltonsearch.com Police release image of suspect Halton Police have released surveillance footage of a man wanted in connection with a bungled robbery that took place at an Oakville Hasty Market on Wednesday. Police said that at around 11 p.m. a man walked into the Hasty Market located at 1011 Upper Middle Rd. and threatened the lone employee, stating that he had a knife. The employee was not impressed by this threat and stated that he also had a knife. In the end the man asked for a pack of cigarettes, which the employee turned over and then fled the store when a witness entered. Robbery No one was harmed during the robbery. suspect The suspect is described as white 5-foot-8, 30 years old, clean shaven, with dark curly hair and dark eyes. He wore a black leather jacket with blue jeans.
