www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver Weekend, Saturday February 2, 2008 - 19 OAK's Chetrat golden in Luxembourg Oakville Aquatic Club swimmer Zack Chetrat won gold in the 17/18year-old men's 200-metre fly event at last weekend's Luxembourg International Swim Meet. Chetrat also posted the fastest time among 17-18 competitors in the 100m fly event, which was swum as an open event (he finished 14th overall). In the 17-18 backstroke, Chetrat placed eighth. Chetrat's involvement in the competition was part of a Swimming Canada youth/junior development initiative. Luxembourgh was the second competition that the team attended, following a meet in Geneva the previous week. Samuel also overseas Chetrat was not the lone OAK member to be swimming overseas last weekend. Teammate Curtis Samuel competed in Switzerland as part of the Swim Ontario Future University Stars Tour Team, and had three top-eight finishes. Samuel was sixth in the 400m individual medley, seventh in the 200m backstroke and eighth in the 100m backstroke at the International IMU Swimming Invitational in Zurich. THE TAX THE Think Green.
