That's what the 40-person PARC 14 committee is recommending to the Halton District School Board, after a meeting Tuesday night that saw a 27 to 13 vote pass in favour of having three junior kindergarten ­ Grade 6 English schools in southeast Oakville, as opposed to a two school scenario that would see a large school built in Clearview and closures of existing schools. The meeting at Oakville Trafalgar High School saw more than 400 parents attend, many carrying signs encouraging the vote for three JKGrade 6 English schools bearing the words "save our existing schools." Not everyone is happy, as these recommendations don't include the long-promised school for the Clearview area, but the final vote was met with many parents standing and applauding.
