Suzanne Austin, an environmental policy analyst with the Town, was officially named Municipal Energy Conservation Officer (MECO) on Saturday at the second annual Oakville Conserves Energy Fair ­ an event that she organized. Austin said, "Yes I'm excited about this new job. I think it will be a challenge to raise awareness out there (for energy conservation), but I think we are lucky to have great supports, from the Conservation Bureau, and the mayor, and many local organizations.
