Keep in mind that an employer also looks at a cover letter to critique your business writing skills. In addition to your skills and experience, make reference to their product or industry and how the employer would benefit from your previous work experience. If that isn't relevent, you can even comment on their mission statement and indicate how you have demonstrated these values and initiatives in the past. Of these, almost 1100 die of the disease each year! The good news is that if caught early enough it can be treated successfully. Oral cancer screening is a routine part of dental exams and regular check-ups by a dentist are essential for detection of cancerous or pre-cancerous conditions. Tiny unnoticed white or red spots or sores in the mouth that can be found on the lips, tongue, cheek lining or palate can be how some forms start. Other signs include: - sores that bleed and do not heal - colour changes of tissues in your mouth - lumps, rough spots and crusty or eroded areas - pain, tenderness, numbness - difficulty chewing, swallowing or moving the jaw or tongue - changes in the way the teeth fit together Some important risk factors for oral cancer are: - any kind of tobacco use - heavy alcohol use combined with smoking - prolonged sun exposure (lip cancer) - poor diet, genetics and gender (more prevalent in men!) Studies show a diet high in fruits and vegetables may prevent development of potentially cancerous lesions and avoid the above risk factors. Regular dental check-ups will allow a dentist to find early lesions you may not even be aware you have and determine if in fact these are just harmless easily resolved problems or something more dangerous that needs further action. A: You have thought about finishing your basement for years. Now it's finally started and you are committed. What to do with the flooring? If you are thinking home theater, use thick rich carpets, they add to the sound quality of the room, as well as comfort, or maybe your rec. room will be mutli-functional i.e. pool table, games room or general entertainment. Think about multi-mediums. Rubber tiles under the pool table with carpeted boarders for room separation, patterned carpets hide day-to-day use as well as adding vibrancy and excitement to the room. CHIROPODIST 728 Burloak Drive 905-632-1414 Q: Why would one choose to have A: Breast Augmentation? Breast implants enhance the size and shape of the breasts adding firmness and fullness while improving body image and self esteem. Breast Augmentation can be performed to enhance smaller breasts, balance breasts that are asymmetrical, or restore fullness that has diminished with age or as a result of childbirth. Breast Augmentation is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedures in Canada today. Q: A: My child seems to walk funny - I see no arch and his feet seem to roll inwards. Should I be worried? Many foot ailments, like other body ills, have their origins in childhood and are present at birth. Your child's developing feet are very important to monitor as they have to carry the weight of the body for an entire lifetime. Normal foot development involves a heel-toe gait pattern by age 3 and normal arch development by age 7. Problem signs to keep an eye out for include: · Complaints of joint pain while standing, walking or running, · Knock knees or bow legs, · Uneven wear on the bottom of shoes, · Prior injury to the back, knees or ankles, · Obvious foot problems, such as bunions, corns or flat feet. Remember that lack of complaint is not a good sign. The bones of growing feet are so flexible that they can be twisted and distorted without the child being aware of it. If you have concern about your child's feet, contact your chiropodist for a thorough foot evaluation and special shoe fitting advice for children. Q: Who is a good candidate for Breast A: Augmentation? Generally I look at the overall health of someone who is considering Breast Augmentation. Someone who has a positive self-image, yet is looking to enhance their appearance, someone who has realistic expectations of her outcome and of course, someone who is in good physical condition. If you exercise and eat right, you are already on the road to looking good and feeling good. Breast surgery is just one more step in that journey. Through a professional consultation at The Grace Clinic, we can advise if you are a good candidate for this or other procedures you may have been considering. The Basement Space.com would be more than happy to assist you in planning your basement renovation. Please contact Ashley Trapman at 905-338-6179 Dr. Douglas Grace B.Sc. M.D. F.R.C.S.C.
