If you are considering a donation to the YMCA Strong Kids campaign here is one way that your donation can make a difference. The Steps and Stages programs are free to members and non-members of the YMCA of Oakville everyone is welcome. Parents and children ages newborn-6 can participate in drop-in programs such as `Wiggles and Giggles' which is offered at the Y on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11 a.m. This is a time to use the parent resource library, to meet other parents and children, and enjoy toys and crafts. On Wednesdays from 1:30-3 p.m., parents of infants can try `Buggy Business'. This drop-in program operates out of the River Oaks Hub at Munn's Public School (1511 Sixth Line) and combines exercise with a discussion of parenting issues and story time. For story time and a craft, Thursday afternoon from 1-2 p.m. is the time to drop-in to the Y when a librarian from the Oakville Public library will lead `Adventures in Storyland'. Last but not least, there is always a variety of parent education seminars and courses being offered in partnership with other community agencies to assist families with the challenge of "building strong kids". Please invest in the leaders of our future by investing in children today. Go to www.ymcastrongkids.ca and make your donation.
