Burton scored three shifts into a three-on-three overtime period as the Hornets earned a 3-2 win over the Lucan Irish. Oakville had trailed the game 2-0 in the third period before Jacqueline Hanson and Danielle Maton scored goals to tie the game. The Hornets went 2-0-1 in roundrobin play at the tournament. Oakville tied Lucan 2-2, then downed the Stratford Aces 3-1 and Stoney Creek Sabres 4-1. Burton scored twice in the first game against Lucan, with Lisa Guidoni, Nathalie Mihalek and Maton notching goals against Stratford.
