A grant of $19,853 has been allocated to the Oakville-based Home Suite Hope Shared Living Corporation to support the purchase and renovation of a six-unit apartment building that will provide transitional housing for families in Oakville. "This grant will play a valuable role in helping to significantly increase the number of units for families in crisis in Oakville," said Carr. "The funding also represents the Region's commitment to meeting the priorities of its Comprehensive Housing Strategy, including a goal to create housing that helps families "Currently, there are just two, very small transitional housing facilities in Oakville and this money will help us play a strong role in providing housing solutions."
