www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver, Friday May 9, 2008 - 43 Globally-minded play SUBMITTED PHOTO A SPECIAL MOTHER'S DAY: Maple Grove United Church, 346 Maple Grove Dr., is presenting the play The Cards You Have Been Dealt on May 11 during its service starting at 10:30 a.m. The play about Zimbabwe, written and performed by Chaka Chikodzi, pictured above with his partner Sarah Kastner and their baby, Sekai, Daniel Huizenga and Dr. Brian Nichols, explores three different perspectives on time spent in sub-Saharan Africa. The play offers food for thought due to public and media interest in the country's recent election, economic problems, AIDS epidemic and the suffering of its citizens. Admission is free. Members of the Oakville community and the congregation at Maple Grove, under the leadership of Dr. Morar Murray-Hayes, have spent the past five years raising money for its Action for AIDS program.
