Invited guests were treated to a sneak peak of this year's festivities and responded with an overwhelming thumbs up to the concert announcement. On Saturday, June 21, Ford of Canada presents the sultry and spirited Jully Black along with multi-talented Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter. From her astounding debut album, This Is Me, to her role in the theatre production Da Kink In My Hair, and writing for such artists as Nas and Destiny's Child, Black is one of Canada's most revered music stars. Having just received the 2008 Juno Award for best R&B/Soul Recording of the Year for her rendition of Seven-Day Fool, the Toronto native is riding the wave of success. She has shared the stage with Bon Jovi, Josh Groban, and Usher; she's collaborated with virtually every influential hip-hop artist in the country and some of the nation's best songwriters; toured with the Black-Eyed Peas; and garnered a regular spot on CTV's eTalk.
