www.oakvillebeaver.com The Oakville Beaver Weekend, Saturday June 14, 2008 - 15 Local stabbing victim won't talk The public's help is sought in the case of a stabbing where the victim has refused to co-operate with Halton police. Investigators were called to a Burlington apartment building at 955 Warwick Ct. on Friday, June 6 about 10:30 p.m. Police found the man on the 11th floor bleeding profusely from several wounds. Det.-Sgt. Dave McCartney said investigators interviewed the victim at the scene and later in hospital, but he refused to co-operate. The victim, an 18-year-old Oakville resident, was treated for non life-threatening injuries at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital. No further details about his condition were released by police. "We're conducting interviews with people in the surrounding area who may be able to offer information," said McCartney. "We're seeking information about whoever may be responsible." He said police believe the victim's wounds were not self-inflicted. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Halton police at 634-1831, ext. 2316.
