Frank Dunn, 54, former CEO of Nortel, Michael, Gollogly, 49, former Nortel corporate controller, both of Oakville and Douglas Beatty, 53, of Toronto, are accused of fraudulently misstating the telecom equipment maker's results. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police Greater Toronto Area Integrated Market Enforcement Team (IMET) said the three were also accused of making false entries and omitting materials in Nortel's books. Police said the charges pertain to the period between the start of 2002 and June 30, 2003. An attempt by the Oakville & District Labour Council to remove the board of directors of the Oakville United Way (UWO) has failed. However, Labour Council President Willie Lambert says a raucous and heated meeting held Tuesday night will make the fundraising agency stronger into the future.
