Passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2008 in Oakville. Loving husband of 52 years to Domenica, devoted father, Ottavio deeply loved his family. From a small child playing and caring for his younger sisters, to a loving father playing with his own children and grandchildren, he showed a deep devotion to family. Many times during our childhood, Papa's whistle, echoing through the neighbourhood, was a call to come home. Papa would be standing on the front porch waiting to see which of his children, like lost sheep, needed the second or third whistle to call them home. Loving Nonno to Alessandro, Gabriella, Justin, Samantha, Jordan, Daniel, Juliana and Sophia and loving father to us, Maria (Frank Colavecchio) Angelo (Tammy- Jo), Salvatore and Gianni (Janet). He will always be in our thoughts, hearts and prayers. His devoted wife Domenica will sorely miss his presence in her life. He will be sorely missed by his brothers and sisters and their families, Giuseppa, Francesco, Anna, Giovanni,(deceased), Roberto, Marcello, Maria, Cesidia and Gemma. Caro Papá, reposati nelle brace di Gesû. Con tanto affezione e amore. La tua famiglia. Papá, today the whistle is for you. God is calling you home. Visitation will be Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Rd. W. from 6-9 pm. and Sunday, July 6th from 3-8 pm.
