Boat stripped and dumped There are many things that can create traffic problems, but a 19-foot boat partially blocking the road isn't one of the more common variety. Just ask the curious and slightly amazed motorists who passed exactly that Monday morning on Bell School Line, south of Britannia Road, near the Burlington Air Park. Some of them even pulled over to take photos. Halton Regional Police Sgt. Brian Carr said police believe the Sea Swell Sierra Classic had been stolen from Oakville Saturday night and stripped for parts. It appears to have been loaded onto a trailer, pushed off and abandoned. "There wasn't a stitch left on this thing -- all that was left was a hull," Carr said. He added he isn't aware of this being part of a larger trend of boats being stolen for parts. Police are continuing the investigation.
