Canadian Golf Hall of Fame features RARE sports artifacts for the summer The Royal Canadian Golf Association (RCGA) along with the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and Museum are pleased to announce two new temporary exhibits: The Youngest and Home Run Economics. THE YOUNGEST: The exhibit honours the 100-year anniversary of Albert H. Murray's recordbreaking Canadian Open win at age 20 years, 10 months and two days, at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in 1908. His record as the youngest Canadian Open champion still stands today. The Youngest features photos and artifacts including Canadian Open medals, handmade clubs, scrapbooks and diaries from Murray's own collection, some of the earliest of their kind still in existence. "We are very proud to feature Murray's one-of-a-kind collection of photos and artifacts of golf in Canada," said Karen Hewson, Director, Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and Museum. "This exhibit gives visitors a unique view of what the sport was like at the turn of the century." Murray was inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame in 1974. The Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and Museum welcomed Ian Murray, Albert's grandson, as guest curator of the exhibit. The Youngest runs June 30-September 30 at the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and Museum in Oakville, Ont. INVESTING IN THE SWING Investing in the Swing focuses on the history of business and sport and features artifacts related to this history. Of particular note is the connection between RBC and Babe Ruth. The exhibit features two Babe Ruth Autographed Baseballs, (courtesy of the Babe Ruth Birthplace in Baltimore, Maryland) as well as the Olympic Golf trophy and Marlene Streit's World Golf Hall of Fame trophy. Investing in the Swing opens July 21 and runs until August 18. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Access to the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame is limited to RBC Canadian Open ticket holders during the week of the championship (July 21 27).
