On July 8, Longo's hosted more than 400 golfers at Kleinberg Golf Club with the goal of raising funds for the charitable work of the Longo's Family Foundation. Pictured here are one of the tournament organizers, Rosanne Longo with Frank Maiurro, who were paired with special guest Walter Gretzky and Bob Fowler from Pepsi. The foundation supports children's and women's charities. Its focus is on health and the fostering of a sense of family and community . All proceeds from the $150,000 raised this year through the generosity and support of vendors and friends are being distributed through The Longo's Family Charitable Foundation in support of the following charities: The Hospital for Sick Children, Markham Stouffville Hospital, Jake's House, Silent Voice, Lions Camp Dorset, CARD, ALS and Hoops All-Stars Basketball Camps. The foundation has raised a total of $1.5 million over the past 19 years.
