On July 10, 2008 an amazing total of $530,000 was raised to support the YMCA of Oakville as a leading charitable association in the community of Oakville. A total of thirty-two teams and 450 players enjoyed a fabulous day of softball at four beautifully groomed Town of Oakville parks for a great cause. The final win this year went to the Town of Oakville's own `home' team who came from behind in the bottom of the fifth inning with a triple with the bases loaded and a final close score of 8 to 7. The tired players were treated afterwards to prizes, Hawaiian-style entertainment, and a delicious meal underneath a Trafalgar Park tent ­ all hosted by Mattamy Homes and the Town of Oakville.
