The Penderecki String Quartet performs on Aug. 14 at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William St. A pre-concert talk will be held at 7:30 p.m., with the performance at 8 p.m. The concert will feature works by Beethoven, Jeff Ryan, and Mendelssohn. The 20th Anniversary Celebration Homecoming Gala and Concert goes Aug. 16 at Willis Hall at Appleby College, 540 Lakeshore Rd. W. The gala and cocktail reception goes at 6 p.m. with the celebration concert at 8 p.m. The concert features the worldpremiere of a work by renowned Canadian composer Abigail Richardson, performed by the SOCMI orchestra. Seidenberg discovered his love for composing at the age of 10. Two years later, he recorded his first CD with nine original songs. After graduating from the Canadian National Conservatory of Music with a Performer's Associate Diploma in piano, he recorded a second CD. Seidenberg travelled across North America at age 15 for three years as the drummer and actor in the popular children's stage show and animated series, Godrocks. His love for composition resulted in a music book series for piano students, which was completed in the summer of 2006. He studied music in California at Azusa Pacific University, and is currently enrolled in a recording program in Toronto at Number 9. Seidenberg serves as a vocalist and pianist in Carried Away.
