Man loses leg in motorcycle collision Halton police say a 48-year-old Oakville man had his left leg amputated and is in serious condition following a collision on Wednesday. The incident occurred about 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of New Street and Walker's Line in Burlington. Police say the man was injured after his westbound motorcycle on New Street collided with an eastbound truck that was turning left. The truck driver, a 45-year-old Oakville man, was not injured. Roads in the immediate area were closed for six hours for the investigation, which is continuing. Police have ruled out alcohol and the weather as factors in the accident.
