He also recently co-wrote a top single, Poor Old Broken Hearted Me, for The Trews. He has recently released a solo album that is already getting airplay. Ballantyne will share the stage at Moonshine Café with Aaron Garner, a Collingwood-based singer-songwriter. Admission costs $10 and includes a barbecue dinner. The West Side Writers, a non-profit group for people who share a passion for writing, is holding a nineweek course called Welcome to Creative Writing.
