My Christmas cookies are baked, the puddings and cakes are ready and all my knitting is finished. (I knit mittens and hats for the elves every year, you see.) I am looking forward to being in Oakville, and seeing the boys and girls and their families. As part of the afternoon's activities, children can take part in a Scavenger Hunt in Kerr Village. Kids will get the chance to win either a ride in the window of Santa's float, a ride on the Kerr Village BIA float or to light the Christmas tree at the Kerr Village annual tree lighting. Now in its 60th year, the Oakville Santa Claus Parade is a cherished tradition in our Town. The 2008 Parade takes place Saturday, Nov. 15, beginning at 9 am. The parade will begin at Lakeshore Road and Reynolds, go west on Lakeshore to Kerr Street, north on Kerr and end at Kerr and Stewart Streets.
