This year's theme, Invest in Your Future: Prevent Crime, will enhance efforts to create safer and stronger communities in Ontario by promoting personal and public safety through prevention, preparedness and social development. Among the local events are: · Wednesday, Nov. 5 -- Halton Regional Police will host a free community presentation, Home and Business Security from 7-9 p.m. at Halton Regional Police Headquarters, Auditorium, 1151 Bronte Rd. Officers will be providing a presentation on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) with displays set up with community partners. · Thursday, Nov. 6 Halton Regional Police fraud investigators will host a free presentation on Scams and Identify Theft from 7-9 p.m. at Halton Regional Police Headquarters, Auditorium, 1151 Bronte Rd.
